CAROLINE DE BOISSIEU
Because expressing her art freely allows you to inspire, raise awareness and touch people to the heart, Caroline de Boissieu, letting herself be guided by her own emotions, experiments new fields by collaborating with other talents. She creates unique and powerful works born of a journey and a unique process around fluidity, transparency and light. His work is expressed from miniature to masterful installation.

A SINGULAR APPROACH
"This is because the complexity of the process, the one we find in each of Caroline de Boissieu's works, comes from the palimpsest. This stratification, or perhaps better, sedimentation which we speak of as a simple scratching of parchment is here a long elaboration which hides a desire to disturb the tracks, the confinements: between photography, acrylic, inks, pencil, pastel, all the techniques are called upon to give the project the fullness of its expression, its breath."
A.SARFATI architect
Caroline de Boissieu naturally turned to increasingly clear supports: translucent support, then glass to let exterior lighting pass through and bring her pictorial creations to life. Water, a source of inspiration, finds power, depth and life there. The use of glass leads him to exploit the architectural dimension of his paintings. She conceives of some of her works as an integral part of buildings where they introduce their clarity. In collaboration with glassmakers and architects, she thus creates works intended to animate the interior space.
COURSE
In 1973, Caroline de Boissieu graduated from the ENSAD-Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts décoratifs in Paris. When she left, she founded "à 4 mains", an office specializing in the creation of fabrics, wallpapers and frescoes.
In 1980, she joined Cacharel's style office in the licensed collections department. She creates "house" collections: wallpapers, tableware, bed linen, etc. She goes on to create the "Capital Marque" office dedicated to the creation of products under licenses in France and abroad.
She joined the Z agency where she continued to develop brand licenses. She offers a collaboration to Jean Paul Goude for products derived from "his little color thieves". At the same time, she is in charge of development for the Design Design agency.
On the strength of her experiences, in 2000, she chose to devote herself completely to her art and created her own studio in Paris. She exhibits in France and abroad, notably in New York and Istanbul. She responds to commissions for works for individuals and companies. It is present, among others, in the collection of the Banque du Luxembourg.
Since 2013, she has been developing her work as a plastic painter by collaborating with craftsmen, manufacturers and brands whose artistic and emotional potential she feels strongly. In 2018, she created for the Hôtel MARRIOTT the Caserne CHANZY in Reims, a glass work for the 90 bathrooms. The gold of the original work, as well as the search for details, are an evocation of the world of luxury. The treatment firmly inscribes the work in the world of decorative arts. With this work, she navigates from Fine Arts to Decorative Arts.
